How It Works.

Yes. All renters are required to complete identity verification prior to the shipment of any timepiece. KLYR Collective utilizes a secure third-party verification process requiring a valid government-issued photo ID and a matching selfie. Renters must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Failure to complete verification or discrepancies identified during the verification process will result in cancellation of the rental. All identity information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and is used solely for the purpose of rental verification.

Yes. Due to the significant value of each timepiece we provide, a refundable security deposit is required for all rentals. The deposit amount is determined by the individual timepiece selected and is processed as a pre-authorization hold on your payment method — it does not constitute a charge to your account. Rest assured, the deposit is released in full once the timepiece has been returned and thoroughly inspected. In the event of any additional charges resulting from damage or policy violations, they are assessed from the deposit and any remaining balance is returned to your payment method. Full terms are outlined in the KLYR Collective Rental Agreement, which must be executed prior to shipment.

Every timepiece in the KLYR Collective vault is inspected by a certified watchmaker, serial number documented, and sealed with a tamper-evident seal before each rental. You receive an authentication card with every shipment confirming the piece has been verified and is in its original certified condition.

In the event of damage occurring during the rental period, the renter assumes liability as outlined in the KLYR Collective Rental Agreement executed prior to shipment. KLYR Collective maintains insurance coverage on all timepieces in the vault. Normal wear consistent with careful use is expected and does not constitute damage. Significant damage, loss, or non-return of the timepiece may result in charges assessed against the security deposit hold and/or additional action pursuant to the signed rental agreement.

Yes. Rental extensions are available subject to inventory availability at the time of the request. To request an extension, contact KLYR Collective at hello@klyrcollective.com or +1 (562) 754-7596 no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled return date. Extensions are not guaranteed and are confirmed on a case-by-case basis. Additional rental days will be charged at the standard daily rate for the selected timepiece. Failure to return the timepiece by the original or extended return date without prior authorization may result in additional charges pursuant to the KLYR Collective Rental Agreement.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled shipment date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled shipment date are non-refundable. Once a timepiece has been shipped, the rental is non-cancellable and the full rental amount is due. Security deposit holds are released in full upon cancellation provided the timepiece has not yet shipped.
